SPRING FAIR 2024

The primary objective of the Spring Fair is to serve as a fundraising initiative for the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). The funds generated from this event will be allocated to various programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational experience and well-being of students within our school community.

Event Details:
Date and Time: Saturday, May 4th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

How You Can Support:
Attend the Spring Fair with your family and participate in the activities and attractions. Spread the word about the event within your social circles and encourage others to attend. Volunteer your time and skills to help organize and run the event smoothly. Consider donating to the event to further support the PTA’s fundraising efforts.

Event Highlights:
Family-Friendly Activities: A wide range of age-appropriate activities and entertainment options will be available to cater to children and parents alike. From carnival games to arts and crafts stations, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Delicious Food and Refreshments: Food tables offering tasty treats and refreshment stalls with a variety of beverages will ensure that attendees stay energized throughout the day.

Community Engagement: The Spring Fair provides an opportunity for the school community to come together, strengthen connections, and support the PTA’s fundraising efforts.

Fundraising Goals:The Spring Fair aims to raise funds that will contribute to various PTA initiatives, including but not limited to:

Classroom resources and materials
Extracurricular activities and field trips

School infrastructure improvements

Winterfair Poster Art Competition

Technical and creative requirements:

• The poster must be in A4 format.

• All types of pens and painting materials are allowed (e.g. coloured pencils, watercolours, acrylic paints, fine liners, etc.).

• Digital image creation and editing is not allowed.

• The poster should be creative and reflect the theme of ‘Winter‘.

• It should convey joy and Winter magic and invite visitors to the event.

• Winter can be interpreted in different ways (e.g. snow landscape, winter sports, Christmas magic, etc.). Be creative!

Prize:
There will be a prize for the most beautiful poster + the winning poster will be used as the official Winter Fair Poster 2024!

Choosing the winning poster:
There will be an exhibition of the submitted posters during the Spring Fair on 4th May where visitors can vote for their favourite. One vote per person.

Closing date:

• Posters need to be dropped off at EY Campus (with your Teacher)
or PYP Campus Front desk on or before April 26th, 2024

• Your submitted posters should be in an envelope or sleeve labelled:

Stay Updated: Community admins will regularly send out important announcements to keep you informed about school events, policy changes, and other relevant updates.

Connect and Collaborate: Engage with other parents in discussions on topics that matter to you. We will create organizing committee groups for events. You will also be able to find the classroom WhatsApp groups in the community, this will allow you to apply to join those that you have a child in, get information from the PTA board ASAP, and connect with the broader community. These groups are a place to organizing playdates/parties, sharing educational resources, or seeking advice, our WhatsApp community provides a platform for meaningful interactions.

End-to-End Encryption: Rest assured that your personal messages and calls within our WhatsApp community are always end-to-end encrypted. Your privacy and security are of utmost importance to us.

Spring Fair Organizing Committee

The PTA is looking to establish organizing committees to assist with events.

When: The ISH Spring fair will take place on May 4th, and we anticipate an excellent event.

Where: This year it will be held on EY campus.

Who: We are seeking parents interested in joining the Spring fair organizing team.

What: Tasks include stall organization, generating creative ideas, and collectively bringing joy to our children.

No specific expertise is necessary.

Time: Regarding the schedule, there will be approximately two meetings before the Spring fair, which you can attend online or in person, along with 1-2 telephone meetings if required.
